Effortless Yoga Nidra
Your quickstart guide to meditation for better sleep, stress relief, and life-changing personal transformation
Yes! I want this for only $47.
You’ve tried to meditate before and it didn’t go so well.
You feel so much better when you meditate, but you’ve struggled to create a consistent practice.
After downloading that meditation app, you’ve routinely declared, “Today’s the day!”
But right now your practice is, well… sporadic.
You’re frustrated because you know the benefits — more calm and peace on the daily — but:
You have trouble meditating when it’s just you by yourself.
You’re worried about “doing it right.”
It feels like you need the stars to align to make time for it.
Your thoughts make inner peace nearly impossible.
But you’re determined to develop a regular meditation habit. Not just for peace of mind, but because you want to change your life.
What if I told you that you weren't the problem?
When I first tried meditation, I thought I was totally “bad” at it, that I “couldn’t meditate,” and it “wasn’t for me.”
I got so discouraged by my intrusive negative thoughts that I abandoned the practice for years.
Even though there’s a mountain of scientific evidence to the contrary, my fear of failure convinced me that meditation just doesn’t work for me.
If I could go back to younger Caren today, I’d toss my arm around her shoulders and say, “You’ll never believe what you’re going to grow up to be! A meditation teacher.”
Hi, I’m Caren Baginski, a certified yoga nidra teacher, yoga therapist, and the author of the award-winning book Restorative Yoga: Relax. Restore. Re-energize.
So what changed for me?
I learned the practice of yoga nidra meditation.
Known as "yogic sleep," yoga nidra is one of the best kept secrets for stress relief and life-changing personal transformation in our busy modern lives.
If you’re not familiar with yoga nidra, here’s a brief overview:
You lie on your back with the support of blankets and pillows.
You’re guided by a teacher to systematically relax your body and mind while remaining conscious and awake.
By doing so, you access the deepest state of relaxation and peace to release stress… effortlessly.
In my first session, without any prior experience, I felt more peaceful and relaxed than I had in YEARS. And the best part?
The whole time I was lying down and doing nothing.
I had to know how this worked, so I became certified to teach yoga nidra. What happened next was nothing short of a miracle.
After practicing 19 yoga nidra meditations over the span of two weeks I experienced one of THE BIGGEST breakthroughs of my entire life.
You see, I have this rarely known — but not rare — condition called misophonia.
Basically, certain sounds like crunching carrots and slurping tea trigger my sensitive nervous system to involuntarily freak out with emotions like fear, anger, and anxiety.
Um… you can imagine how well this goes over at meal time.
I learned that I had to control my environment or it would control me. You better believe that I got really good at controlling things in my life.
Turns out? That doesn’t work when you want to be in a loving relationship. Or have a successful career. Or feel like you’re not doomed to unconscious habits and patterns for the rest of your life.
In 2017, I resolved to overcome misophonia because it was ruining my marriage.
That’s how I found myself in a yoga nidra teacher training.
One evening, my partner was eating a crunchy salad (the worst!) and I suddenly broke down in tears.
For the first time since childhood, my nervous system and brain didn’t react to the crunching sounds.
I experienced NOT ONE moment of rage or anxiety or needing to leave the room.
It was like misophonia didn’t exist.
My only regret was that I wish I would have found yoga nidra sooner.
By now you’re probably wondering, how did this happen?
First, I’ll share what I didn’t do:
I didn’t sit upright in a Lotus Pose with aches and pains in my back and hips.
I didn’t “let thoughts go as they arise” (a common meditation cue.)
I didn’t meditate at the exact same time or every single day; I let meditation fit into my schedule.
If you’re reading this, I’m willing to bet that you and I have a lot in common.
You want to calm your busy, distracted mind and need an accountability buddy to keep you on track.
You want a meditation practice that’s easy on the body and a joy to do.
You know you have what it takes to transform old habits and patterns that aren’t serving you anymore.
I HAVE GREAT NEWS.
Like I said before, you’re not the problem when it comes to meditation.
You just haven’t found the method that works for you yet.
Imagine what it would feel like to have…
Better and deeper sleep (even after just one meditation session!)
A reliable method to release daily stress and tension through doing less, not more
Decreased symptoms of anxiety and depression, and stronger immunity
Increased creativity, self-esteem, and self-confidence
After guiding countless meditation classes and helping my clients transform their lives, I realized that yoga nidra should no longer remain one of yoga’s best-kept secrets for deep relaxation and life-changing transformation.

What makes my approach to yoga nidra meditation different?
Yoga nidra is a transmission between teacher and student. When embarking on a deep journey like with yoga nidra meditation, it’s very important to be guided by a teacher who has studied it well and stays in the practice. I am a certified yoga therapist and have completed 105 hours of yoga nidra training in 2017 and 2021, as well as countless hours of continual personal practice.
Would you seek help from a personal trainer or mental health therapist if they weren’t certified in their profession? Many free yoga nidra tracks on YouTube or other meditation apps don’t share the credentials behind the person guiding the practice. This can make for ineffective meditation sessions or guidance that may trigger trauma. My 800-hour yoga therapy training has prepared me to address struggles such as anxiety, depression, chronic pain, PTSD, grief, cancer diagnoses, and more.
I take an esoteric approach that’s informed by modern living. My guidance stays true to yoga philosophy and also the latest neuroscience. I’ve studied with Jeremy Wolf, a respected yoga nidra teacher who has taken trainings from all the major yoga nidra lineages. I do not follow one particular lineage but am inspired by all. A deep bow of gratitude to all the teachers and realized beings who have passed along the knowledge of yoga nidra to us.
“Meditating with Caren helped me set aside productive time for myself, and made me feel like I was taking a positive step forward, at a time when it was really needed. Caren has the perfect voice to help you feel relaxed and cared for, and I enjoyed feeling like I was spending time with a friend every day.”
